Brandon's Fertility Testimony

Our pastor asked Brandon to speak at church this past Sunday.  Terry talked about Zechariah and Elizabeth, parents of John the Baptist.  (He read scripture from Luke 1:5-25.)  At many points throughout  his sermon, Terry continued to talk about how Zechariah and Elizabeth must have felt, not being able to conceive children.  In their time, it was shameful for a woman to have no children.  Throughout the message, Brandon and I revisited many emotions that we had felt along the way in our journey to conceive.  For two years, there was much disappointment, anger, denial, and every other negative emotion.  We received so much "unwanted advice" from everyone!  He and I both struggled so much to keep moving forward, but Brandon always stayed strong for me.  He was always positive and hopeful that we would become parents.

Here is a video of his message from the early service on December 9, 2012.  I was so proud to see my husband speaking before our faith family about what God has done for us.  "This is not the end for us."

"If you're not putting your faith in God, please do."  He has already done so much for us.

  1. In many cultures it is still considered shameful for a woman to not have children. I wonder if I will ever conceive and carry to term.
