Brandon talked to Ellen (Embryologist at ART) this morning and she said that UAB has him scheduled to pick up 11 vials of frozen sperm!! =) We thawed 2 vials for our first IUI leaving us with 3. We banked 8 more during the month of November...so 8+3=11!! Each and every other time we've discussed our frozen samples with UAB, they've told us we only had 8. I am so relieved that this whole missing sperm fiasco is over!
Brandon cleaned out his Alabama cooler yesterday and is picking up dry ice to transport "the boys." Please be thinking about him today as he has to transport them from UAB to Brookwood. It's a short trip, but I would greatly appreciate prayer and positive vibes his direction until this part of the process is complete.
On a side note, I'll NEVER look at our cooler the same way again. ;-) After what we've been going through, I know that God has a sense of humor!
After two years of trying to conceive including: my husband's battle with Testicular Cancer, a Uterine Septum requiring two surgeries, Stage II Endometriosis, three HSGs, one SIS, one failed IUI cycle(Chemical Pregnancy), one IVF cycle cancelled by Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), and one Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) cycle- we triumphed over infertility and delivered our first child on May 21, 2013. We are currently expecting an unexpected miracle baby in May 2015.
Gives a whole new meaning to, "Roll tide!"
