After two years of trying to conceive including: my husband's battle with Testicular Cancer, a Uterine Septum requiring two surgeries, Stage II Endometriosis, three HSGs, one SIS, one failed IUI cycle(Chemical Pregnancy), one IVF cycle cancelled by Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), and one Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) cycle- we triumphed over infertility and delivered our first child on May 21, 2013. We are currently expecting an unexpected miracle baby in May 2015.

Application Declined
Suzanne called me back today. Apparently, we did not spend enough money on our fertility procedures. This is an income based program. I told her that our IVF was going to be around $8600. She said that I should try to send her another fax with the information concerning the IVF. She also asked me if I could find any more invoices or receipts from the past year. Apparently we came extremely close to reaching the amount to qualify for the free drugs. Close but no cigar.

Bummer... I hope you are able to find more receipts and meet the qualifications. We did not qualify for the medical expense tax deduction last year but we were close. I am keeping every single stinkin receipt this year for any and everything medical related in hopes that we will qualify this year...
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to be on follistim I would be more then happy to donate 900 iu to you. Just let me know.
ReplyDeleteWow, Toni. I don't even know what to say! I will let you know once I get my protocol. I am overwhelmed by your generosity. I am crying as I write this. Next week, I will know more and about what my medicine dosages will be.
DeleteI had so very special person donate to us and I want to do the same. Just jump over to my blog when you find out.
DeleteI also have an extra unused pen to go with it. I wanted to donate our unused drugs to someone that needs it. we still have another ivf coming up but I have five boxes of follistim left. It will be the most expensive medication during your cycle.
ReplyDeleteI have the pen. I've taken the Follistim once before during my January/cancelled cycle. Again, I'm overwhelmed by your generosity. I wrote down your email address and will message you privately. Thank you so much! =)
